Accessibility Statement

Casa Chiquiz Cocina & Bar wants everyone to be able to use casachiquiz.com, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

Where we stand

This site partially conforms to WCAG 2.2 AA: most of it meets the standard, and we are fixing the parts that do not. We test with automated checks (axe) and by hand with a keyboard, at phone and desktop widths.

What we do

• Semantic headings and landmarks, and a “Skip to content” link.
• Keyboard access with visible focus indicators.
• Text alternatives for meaningful images.
• Color contrast that meets WCAG AA for text and controls.
• Labeled form fields with spoken status messages.
• Menus written as real web text, not PDFs.
• A pause button on the video at the top of the homepage, which also stays still if your device asks for reduced motion.

Known limitations

• Online ordering happens on DoorDash, and job applications on Microsoft Forms. We do not control the accessibility of those platforms. To order or apply another way, call us at (805) 529-9411.
• Event flyers are images. The date, time and details also appear as text beside each flyer.
